ABOUT

WHO WE ARE

“Guest and host are not opposites, but two roles in a shared dance of encounter.”

Intercultural Program Weeks Zurich

The Intercultural Program Weeks are a citywide cultural program in Zurich that promotes encounter, dialogue, and cultural diversity.

Art and culture are understood as a public and shared practice that brings people together.

Projects take place in different Zurich neighborhoods, highlighting local stories, perspectives, and everyday realities.

At the heart of the program is the relationship between guest and host — not as fixed roles, but as an open exchange. People invite, listen, share experiences, and create spaces together.

Local initiatives across the neighborhoods come together during the Intercultural Program Weeks to form a citywide mosaic of encounters and cultural activities.

Who We Are

MOSAIK is the association and team organizing the Intercultural Project Weeks of the City of Zurich (2026–2029).

Our team is diverse and connected through a shared background in transdisciplinary art and cultural practice. We collaborate with partners from art, culture, education, and civil society across Zurich.

Our aim is to make cultural diversity visible and create new forms of participation in public space.

We see Zurich as a living mosaic of stories, languages, and experiences — a city that continues to evolve through encounter.

How We Work

Our approach is neighborhood-based, collaborative, and process-oriented.

Many projects emerge through collaboration with local initiatives, cultural practitioners, and residents.

We value encounters on equal footing — both large and small. The Project Weeks invite people to participate, contribute ideas, and explore new ways of living together in Zurich.

Participation can take many forms: joining activities, sharing experiences, or co-creating projects.

We are interested not only in large events, but also in the small moments of everyday coexistence: conversations, rituals, places, memories, and new connections.

Our goal is to create spaces where people can meet, exchange ideas, and imagine new perspectives on living together in Zurich.
